MEDITIS and ZAITIS manage ordering and inventory for pharmaceuticals and supplies. Drawing on the scale of Japan's largest private healthcare group, all facilities can view Group-wide item adoption, stock and purchase prices in real time to improve their own results. MEDITIS / ZAITIS: View the items adopted and prices paid by Group hospitals in real time. Antidote stock information is shared across the Group, making it possible to quickly identify nearby hospitals with stock when an accident occurs.
Feature 2
ZAITIS: Automatically retrieve surgical data from electronic medical records and manage item lot numbers. Lot management is required for JCI accreditation, and registering lots can take considerable time. This function improves efficiency.

MEDITIS / ZAITIS: Import usage files exported from electronic medical records and reconcile quantities between medical administration and pharmacy. Flexible file layouts allow data from other vendors' electronic medical record systems to be imported.

A System Designed for Hospital Staff
Our previous system handled ordering adequately, but supply management tasks such as issuing and stocktaking presented various problems. We therefore used separate Excel reports. We wanted a system that could manage the entire sequence—ordering, delivery, issue, payment, invoice processing and stocktaking—in one place. We reviewed systems from several companies, but none matched our hospital's requirements. They seemed designed around suppliers, despite being used by hospital staff. The Tokushukai Information System Department had already developed MEDITIS and used it as the basis for ZAITIS. The team responded carefully even to our demanding requests, resulting in a system that puts the hospital first.
Approximately four years after implementation, we have improved efficiency, reduced overtime, and made it easier to prepare reports such as purchase and issue records, helping improve management.
With functions for checking missed claims for reimbursable supplies, managing sterilisation expiry and tracking supplies used in surgery becoming more comprehensive, we hope to work with the department to improve integration with electronic medical records and make the system even better.
