2022 New Year Message
2022.01.01
I sincerely thank everyone whose support enabled us to continue our work smoothly during last year's pandemic.
Social activity remains restricted by COVID-19 at the beginning of this year. We should view changes such as the shift from office to home working as social transformation, and strengthen our organisation accordingly beyond the pandemic. This year will require a new social environment rather than a return to the past. Dozens of medical AI products have received regulatory approval, and we will build environments for clinical use, beginning with diagnostic imaging. Applications of 5G in healthcare may also become possible. We will quickly establish a staff communication infrastructure using a new chat application. In light of the enormous ransomware damage suffered by a municipal hospital last year, we will work with hospitals to strengthen security further. During the pandemic, requests for data have come from inside and outside the Group; we provided data for nearly 10 projects last year alone. As demand for TMD is likely to grow, we will also structure free-text medical records and radiology findings so they can be extracted, cleaned and analysed smoothly alongside structured test and clinical information. A new food ingredient system will launch this fiscal year alongside our existing pharmaceutical and supply systems, moving towards a comprehensive integrated system. Having joined HAIP last year, we hope to contribute to infrastructure for Japan as well as the Group. Healthcare DX continues without pause, and we want to respond swiftly to society's rapid changes.
Specifically, our plans include:
- Medical questionnaire development and collaboration with other companies
- New versions of pharmaceutical and supply management systems
- Next-generation network and remote-access environments
- Implementation of a Group communication system
- Stronger maintenance and infrastructure for in-house systems
- More website development projects and e-learning content
- A wider range of smartphone applications
- Electronic medical record implementation, system development and sales, and consulting outside the Group
- Review of HR and payroll systems
- System support for Group expansion
- Development of a data provision system
We plan to pursue these and other initiatives.
Society has undoubtedly changed. Recognising the need for systems suited to that change, we want our employees to take pride and joy in creating future systems unconstrained by existing assumptions. We will focus our efforts on meeting society's needs and helping as many patients as possible receive the best care. We appreciate your continued guidance.
