Happy New Year.
I sincerely hope that 2024 will bring you health and happiness.
We have worked every day in healthcare IT to help people lead better, healthier lives. As a new year begins, we will continue to build on our achievements. Economic and technological progress has greatly changed our lives. In healthcare, AI and the use of data are beginning to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment.

However, security issues such as ransomware remain a major obstacle, and healthcare IT is still not sufficiently available. Our mission is to provide high-quality care to everyone through the integration of medicine and IT. In 2024, we will continue using AI, cloud technology, IoT and other advanced technologies to create an environment in which more people can receive the care they need.

Healthcare IT benefits professionals as well as patients. Appropriate systems improve efficiency and enable more advanced services. We will help everyone working in healthcare make full use of their expertise and skills. COVID-19 has expanded remote work, online meetings and telemedicine, changing our business and requiring more flexible, efficient operations. We will embrace these changes and continue exploring new ways of working. I am confident that 2024 can be a year of major progress for healthcare IT, and we must work together to achieve it.

Specifically, our plans include:

  1. Wider HOSPA implementation and expanded questionnaire and other functions
  2. An integrated pharmaceutical and supply management system in response to changes in Group-wide purchasing arrangements
  3. Expanded functions in the Group communication tool Chatis
  4. Stronger maintenance and infrastructure for in-house systems
  5. Expanded communications systems, including websites and social media
  6. Electronic medical record implementation and consulting outside the Group, and implementation of our own products
  7. Automation and efficiency improvements using generative AI and other tools as part of work style reform
  8. System support for Group expansion
  9. Implementation of the new BI tool at all facilities
  10. Implementation of workflow and asset management systems at all facilities
  11. Health and labour sciences research with PMDA and HAIP and joint research with pharmaceutical companies

We will actively pursue these initiatives.

I believe we can fulfil our mission when every employee understands their role and gives their best. As the new year begins, I thank everyone who supports our work. Let us continue creating the future of healthcare together in 2024. I sincerely wish you health and success.
